Add articles (web pages)

You can save articles using Outread's save extension. It's possible from any app that has the share sheet.

To activate it, tap on icon, then choose Outread. You may first need to scroll the second row horizontally and tap on the More button.

It works similarly on macOS but after tapping on the More button you'll be taken to System Preferences and you'll have to enable checkmark next to Outread there.

Paste URLs or text

To add any URL, simply tap on the + button on the main screen and then choose Paste Web Link. To add any text, tap on + and then choose Paste Text.

Add ebooks and documents (Outread+ only)

You can open following file types in Outread: ePub (DRM-free), PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF and TXT. If you have files in other formats, you can try using Calibre to convert them to TXT (documents) or EPUB (books).

In most apps (e.g. Files) choose a file, tap on icon, then choose Copy to Outread. You may first need to scroll the second row horizontally and tap on the More button.

On macOS you can also simply drag a file and drop it on Outread icon in the dock.

Connect to Pocket and Instapaper

Open Settings in the app, tap on a service name under Integrations section, fill in the form and tap on the Sign In button. The list will populate shortly.
