Outread with Liquid Glass and Apple Intelligence

We're excited to announce a major update to Outread, launching alongside iOS 26.

Outread is designed to help people read with greater focus and efficiency. By showing just one or a few words at a time, it reduces visual clutter and supports better comprehension and retention. The app also includes text-to-speech, making it easy to listen to articles, ebooks, and documents on the go.

This update will include:

• Design updates to Liquid Glass along with a new app icon, updated animations and transitions
• Bookmarks: save and share favorite passages, including image-based quote sharing on social media
• Summary: quickly generate summaries of text (powered by Apple Intelligence)
• Key Points: identify the most important sentences and paragraphs in a text, and save them as bookmarks (powered by Apple Intelligence)
• Quiz: AI-generated questions about the text, so that you can check your comprehension (powered by Apple Intelligence)
• Tag suggestions: AI-generated tags tailored to each item (powered by Apple Intelligence)
