This policy applies to information that we collect when you use Outread.
What we collect
We only collect information we need to provide our services, communicate with you, and to improve our app.
If you decide to create an optional Outread account, we'll store your data (e.g. your content, preferences, etc.) on our server. Your data is stored securely and not visible to other users of our app.
We collect anonymous, aggregated statistics about usage of specific features, to improve Outread. We use Google Firebase to collect that data.
Adding web pages
Whenever you use “Add from a URL” feature or the share extension, the HTML source of the added web page is passed to our server – it removes unnecessary content, like images or HTML tags to show you a clean text to speed read. Data is anonymous and is not stored on the server.
Outread allows you to sync your Pocket, Instapaper and Pinboard accounts. However, we don’t have access to your data. Your reading lists and login credentials are stored on your device and passed only directly to the service provider.
We do not sell our user’s information.
